In 2018 Government announced it was going to look carefully at pension costs and charges in order to bring some fairness back into the system. Consumers are not being treated fairly and the industry is bloated with costs and processes that are out of date.
My response to the Select Committee is available and provides further insight into the truth about pensions, pension planning and the problem with advice.
I also outline some options, some different paths for you to take.
This enquiry is still ongoing (Feb 2019) and it’s findings will be important for all of us.
I have also made this report available directly to the likes of Mel Stride MP and Phill Hammond – both of which have been dismissive of my findings and recommendations – which is great news – if they both agreed I know I’d be on the wrong path.
Pension Charges are a problem, pension advice is a problem – your money needs to work hard for you, not for someone else – providers, fund managers and advisers are all earning from your pot – which means there will be a lot less for you. These findings give you some alternatives.
