In April and May of 2024 I am taking Dying to Know on tour.
These workshops and presentations provide the skills and knowledge we need to plan for the last ten years, what I call Pre and Post Zimmer. There is no charge for these workshops and they are part of my attempt to bring more people together and talk about the last few years of our lives.
It’s important stuff.

We grew up in a time when people got old and died. Today we have two clear stages of our older years. I call these Pre and Post Zimmer.
Bob had several assistants to help him on his way Bernie The Bolt, he dealt with loading the shot and a whole load of ‘eye candy’ girls with flowing cocktail dresses – as if everyone looked like that on a Sunday afternoon before tea.
In Golden Shot days, there were funded care homes, a health system that seemed more efficient and no money to speak off, pensions were provided by the state and enough to cover rent and food, perhaps a few pennies left over.
Now, many of us have surplus cash, savings and property to leave behind – that is of course it doesn’t all go on care costs. We are living longer, our needs have changed.
Things are a lot more complicated than most of us think.
The big issue is none of us want to think about it.
It’s being, getting old, planning for what is coming. But we have to.
Dying to Know was created because people don’t want to talk about, don’t want to do an online search because of the rubbish and untruths that exist. We should all still prepare and make plans to make sure our loved ones are not forced to make decisions they don’t want to make.
Society has changed – Money has changed.
We are living longer than ever, good news as we now have time to do all the things our parents never could.
Just that now we have a level of complexity that our parents never had.
Our grandparents never had any money to worry about – so they didn’t need money or knowledge.
For us it’s very different.
We know that the end is coming. We know that a Post Zimmer period will be happening and we hate planning for it.
Hence Dying to Know – Financial Education for the Our Era.
